How many points would Jordan average in todays era....

Image
How many points would Michael Jordan average if he were a player in the modern NBA? 30? 35? Could he even acclude even 40? Considering this is a hypothetical there's no true right answer. However, many people who we refer to as "old heads" say a prime  Michael Jordan  would average 40 points in the Modern era. But why do they think this? Is it just because they're big fans or is a prime Michael Jordan really capable of averaging 40 points in this era...well that's take a statical approach and try to come to a conclusion...  To understand the following text one thing that is worthy of a mention is that  Michael Jordan  is the greatest scorer the NBA has ever laid their eyes on. Establishing Jordan as the greatest scorer should be as nice starting point as nobody in the history of this sport could match his dominance in that aspect of basketball wether were looking at eye test or on the stat sheet. Michael has the highest regular season PPG average ever ...

The WORST criticism of Kobe Bryant's career....

Image
Why Kobe WAS NOT carried by Shaq Let's face it the Shaq and Kobe duo is probably the most interesting duo to look at in NBA history because of the relationship they shared. They had a player in Shaq were nobody could physically match him and on the other hand they had Kobe who was determine to win no matter the cost. The success these two had while wearing the same uniform is something that hasn't been matched since. 99% of NBA fans all agree that Shaq was the better in this 2 man duo and that much i can stand by. However the problem i've noticed is  people tend to fall into this narrative that Shaq  carried Kobe because Shaq was  the one holding up the FMVPs for the 3 championships. Bare with me because i will enclose how bombared this argument honestly is. But before we go...

Tim Duncan is a top 5 player of all time...

Image
When talking about perfect careers Tim Duncans name is often the first to come to mind. In fact, I would argue that Tim Duncan had the most flawless career in NBA history. Duncan played his whole career with the San Antonio Spurs winning 5 championships along with 2 most valuable player awards and 15 all NBA selections . However, that's Just the tip of the iceberg. Certain aspects of Duncans career often don't get enough spotlight. Duncan isn't top 10 in some peoples eyes but Duncan should be recognized as a top 5 player in NBA history. Everyone will have different different opinions about this claim but one things certain: Tim Duncans career will always be remembered for the rest of NBA history.....   Longevity : Let's face it...in the longevity aspect of basketball not many players accomplished what Duncan did. Tim Duncan is the only player in NBA history to make an All NBA 1st team and win a championship in 3 different decades. But in addition to that Duncan ...

What's stopping every susperstar from winning MVP

Image
The most valuable player award also known as the NBA MVP award is one of the most honoring awards in sports and given to only the best of the best and the players that shine that little bit brighter than everyone else. Year in and year out there is a ton of hype surrounding who will win MVP..so much so that fans try and guess who the award will be given to months before the NBAs arrival. Numerous factors go into the MVP award such as team success, narrative, individual play etc. But what is holding each superstar back from getting the privilege to be the 2021 MVP? Let's find out... Giannis Antetokounmpo : Over the past 2 season Giannis has presented himself in a manner that proves he should now be held to susperstar status. He accomplished this by averaging statical numbers of over 28 points and 13 rebounds and leading his team to the best record in the NBA for the last 2 seasons now. Because of this Giannis was awarded the privilege to hold up both the 2019 and 2020 Kia NBA M...

Debunking the 1-9 without pippen argument

Image
" Michael Jordan  was 1-9 in the playoffs before the  Chicago Bulls  acquired  Scottie Pippen  in 1988"....this is the criticism that non-stop circles Michael Jordans  NBA  career. And considering Jordan is the greatest player to ever touch the hardwood his career will always be under inspection. 1-9 seems bad at face value but taking a deeper look into this assessment it's not hard to find the cherry picking here.  In 1985 Jordan lost in the first round to the Milwaukee Bucks winning just 1 of the 4 games leaving him with a 1-3 playoff record before having to face Larry Bird's Celtics. When the Bulls and the Celtics matched up in 1986 and 1987 Chicago was swept both times now leaving Jordan with a 1-9 playoff record before Pippen arrived and that's about as much entail as people will ever tell you. However, despite the lack of context there are a couple things that make this an illogical statent.  1.) 1988 season:  Pippen is the ...

The Most Overrated Star in NBA history...

Image
Kareem Abdul Jabbar. .the man with the most career points..the most career MVPs ...and 6 championships ..he is overrated. Kareem by most fans is considered to be a top 3 player in NBA history but due to his lack of competition for his accolades, along with the a few other aspects of his career Kareem being in the top 3 pedestal is a place in history were Kareem  doesn't  deserve to be ranked. However, Kareem is easily a top 10 player in history. Although Kareem might be overrated being overrated  doesn't  mean you suck and it definitely doesn't mean you are not a great player. It simply means fans and analyst think you are better than you truly were and it is in no way a hateful term. There are multiple aspects of Kareem's career that shouldn't be overlooked but are and holes in his career that most people have ever heard about. And the following text is simply a personal opinion. With that being established let's get into the actually purpose for this claim.....

Kevin Durant's 2013 NBA season

Image
Every once in a while it's important to stop and take a look at some of the more underrated seasons throughout the NBAs history. Typically when a player averages 28 points per game on 50/40/90 shooting and makes All-NBA first team while leading his team to 60 wins that's the type of season fans can't stop talking about..but that's the exact opposite for Kevin Durant's 2012-13 NBA season . LeBron James in 2013 had a season so extraordinary that it basically just takes all the attention away from the great season KD had. So much so that whenever fans bring up 2013 almost all the time it has something to do with LeBron. And rightfully so because this is the year LeBron would supply us with one of the greatest MVP season ever. But almost ANY other year Durant would have won MVP. So let's put the fact's in the same phycinity and shine some light on Kevin Durant's 2013 NBA season.  Durant in 2013 would put up numbers that are simply unheard of from a play...

The Top 3 NBA MVP seasons ever...

Image
The NBA MVP award is the most prestigious award and individual player can receive and only goes to the best of the best. Through the years players have given us MVP years that simply don't make sense and and differ from all the others. So let's go over what these seasons are....                   *The Following List only takes into account a players regular season performance* 3. 1987-88 Michael Jordan : Jordan's 1987-88 season is one of the very rare equations which we get to see a guard completely dominate the league like he was playing with children. Jordan had box score statistics of 35.0 PPG, 5.9 assists, 5.5 rebounds on 53.5% FG. Making him just 1 of 5 players to average 35 PPG in a season. MJ would also score a total of 2,868 points throughout the whole season providing us with only of the greatest scoring outputs in history. Not only would Jordan capture his first MVP this season but thanks to his defensive efforts ...
